About John E. Groberg
Here's a bit of my story
to give you a bit of background on me:
I come from a large
family of 11 children. I am #6 in that lineup. As my dad liked to joke-all boys, except nine. I
was born while my parents were living abroad in Tonga. I nearly died as an infant, but by the grace of
God and the faith and efforts of many, I survived and am still here experiencing Life as John. For the
curious, you can read more about that (and other great stuff) in this book (written by my father). As a
result of knowing my tenious state of life as an infant, I've always had a sense that I'm here on borrowed
time and I've always been fascinated by the big questions of Life and I've always been drawn to exploring
greater levels of clarity about Life.

I grew up in
Idaho, Hawaii, and Utah. I spent two years (1987-1989) living in southern Brazil as a missionary for
my church. In 1991, while studying Economics at Brigham Young University, I met and married my wonderful
wife, Beverly Rosenbaum (from Denver, CO). After college, we lived in the Los Angeles area of
California where I worked in commercial real estate and got an MBA from UCLA (1997). We've been
blessed with six incredible children (which is redundant since all children are incredible- but these are OUR
incredible ones). We currently live in Mesa, AZ. I spent the first 10 years of my career working in
the corporate world in Los Angeles, and then the next 10 years as a serial entrepreneur and a real
estate developer. (see Other Sites) While I have enjoyed much of what
I did for work, all along, I've felt the "soul-tug" of a deeper calling and have made the personal internal
commitment to follow that wherever it leads. At this point it has led to me being an author, speaker,
teacher and personal and business coach focused on assisting my clients to achieve greater clarity- which
automatically transforms their lives as they naturally become more of who they really are and less of who
they've come to think they are.
For most
of my life I've been a philosopher (lover of life's wisdom). I've tirelessly explored and
enquired into the really big questions of life. "Who Am I?" "How does Life really work?" "What is
thought and how does it create my experience of Life?" "What exists beyond thought?" With questions
like this, I’ve been drawn to all sorts of books, products and services in the personal/spiritual growth
and wellness fields. I love to learn how life works- not just through
reading books- but through experimenting with the principles and practices taught by some of the world’s most
enlightened teachers and writers- ancient and modern, eastern and western, spiritual and
scientific. I’ve studied many of the ancient
religious texts from many different religions that have stood the test of time. I’ve benefited
tremendously from many of the teachers I’ve found in this process and have assimilated it all into my own unique
understanding of life.
Why I Do This Work
- What I do feels more like a calling- a vocation- a love,
not just a job or a career.
- I LOVE to witness and be part of the transformation that
happens when two minds get together for the purpose of transformation (not just fixing things on the
surface). There is nothing that FASCINATES me more than to witness
how we transform as Human Beings and all the amazing ways that plays out in both
our personal and professional life.
- I love to work with people that inspire me and I get to do
that every day.
Things I Love
- Creating clients and then
co-creating transformation in their lives and businesses with them.
- Studying and learning from the
worlds greatest teachers and coaches.
- Being with and playing with my wife
and children- anytime, anywhere.
- Transcending thinking into the
bewilderment of being.
- Creating artwork - both the process of creating and the long term enjoyment of the
finished creation.
- Writing about things that are
meaningful to me and hopefully to others.
- Reading inspirational poetry- and
trying to write some of my own.
- Yoga, Swimming, Walking, Biking,
Hiking, Tennis, Surfing
- Developing Real Estate.
- Travelling and Exploring new places
(to me).
- Root Beer
Floats
