The Best Deal I Ever Made

This one came to me in a flash of awareness and I had to drop what I was doing (which was doing research for some writing I was undertaking) and get the concept to manifest itself in words. It was (and always is) a surreal experience to feel like something is coming through you, not from you. That's how I felt as I wrote this.  I hope it helps you in some meaningful way. 

The Best Deal I Ever Made

I went to the market today to make an exchange.

I took with me all the complexity and sophistication 

I'd so carefully accumulated and treasured for years;

And I made the best deal I ever made-I sold it all!

And with my recaptured attention,

I purchased back something of far greater value-

Something I'd long since squandered away;

My childhood inheritance of bewilderment.

I returned   home, unreasonably happy, light and free

Laughing the whole way- finally awake.

Completely bewildered by all I had been missing.
